Terms of use
Updated 2026-10-01
By using stair3d.com, you accept these terms.
The service
Stair3D lays out a stair from the measurements you enter, shows it in 3D, compares it with the rules of the building code you choose and produces files (cut list, DXF, STEP, Fusion 360 add-in). During the launch, the service and the files are free. We will tell you before any feature becomes paid.
Your responsibilities
- Stair3D’s plans and checks are a guide. They depend on the measurements you enter and on the general rules of the chosen code. They do not replace a professional or your local building authority.
- Before cutting or building, check the measurements on site, check the code and by-laws that apply where you live (they can add requirements), and get your project approved when a permit is required.
- The structure (loads, fastenings, supports, materials) remains the builder’s responsibility. Consult a professional when needed.
Limits of our liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Stair3D is not liable for damages arising from the use of the plans, files or checks, including a measurement error, a local rule that is not covered, or poor workmanship.
The files
The files you receive are for building your stair, for yourself or for your clients. The Stair3D software, its calculation engine and the Fusion 360 add-in remain our property: you may not resell them, copy them to offer a similar service, or extract how they work.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to overload it, query it automatically at scale or get around its limits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada.
